Conrail 5037 plus a trailing GP40 and SD40-2 belch out smoke as they power TV 212 towards North Jersey. The GE units such as the 5037 are known to let out some smoke however the 4,000 horsepower GP40 and SD40-2 are chipping in by letting loose some fumes. Trains can travel at 40 MPH from CP West Portal to CP Pattenburg when on the main track however TV 212 is accelerating east as it can travel at 50 MPH from CP Pattenburg to CP Potter, a distance of 40 miles.
