Conrail C36-7 6627 leads a ballest train past milepost 64 on the controlled siding and is on approach to Pattenburg Tunnel. The 6627 develops 3,700 horsepower and was purchased by Conrail in 1985. Although the C36-7's and counterparts C30-7A's did make appearances on the Lehigh Line they are most well known for working on the Boston and Albany line from Selkirk east to Boston.
